As Canada’s Pub our aim is to contribute positively to the journey towards reconciliation. On Canada Day we will be raising funds for the Gord Downie & Chanie Wenjack Fund (DWF).

There are 3 ways you can donate: 

1.Enjoy a pint of the Tragically Hip Lake Fever beer, a portion of the proceeds from this beer go to the DWF

2.You can top up your bill with a $2 donation that will go directly to DWF

3.Tip your server, our staff asked for the option to donate a portion of their tips and Hudsons will be matching their contribution 

About the Downie Wenjack fund

• The Gord Downie & Chanie Wenjack Fund (DWF) was created out of two families coming together to make change, uphold Chanie and Gord’s legacies, and create a pathway on the journey toward reconciliation. 
• DWF provides access to education on the true history of Indigenous peoples in Canada and the true history and legacy of Residential Schools. 
• The DWF aims to build cultural understanding and create a path toward reconciliation between Indigenous and non-Indigenous peoples. Their goal is to improve the lives of Indigenous people by building awareness, education, and connections between all Canadians.
