Hudsons Canada’s Pub – Whyte Ave location proudly accepted the 2016 Best Bar None award in their Best Pub category, along with Hudsons South Common accepting third. Another winner, that evening, was Hudsons Bourbon St, accepting third place for the best Large Pub category. The Best Bar None awards recognizes establishments in Edmonton and Calgary that meet the highest standards in safety, security, staff training, record keeping, and other criteria related to excellence in the hospitality industry.
“These Best Bar None awards are a testament to the hard work that our team puts in day and night, all year long, to build the best and safest environment possible for our guests,” said DeCock. “We continually evaluate our processes and work with our staff to ensure that our top priorities of guest safety and responsible enjoyment are lived every day and every shift in each of our ten locations. Winning Best Bar None awards is an affirmation of the work of all our staff and stakeholders, and I’d like to thank and acknowledge each of them for their contribution to this award.”
Hudsons has won Best Bar None awards for the past several years—in 2015 they also won in their newest campaign profiling the industry’s best staff. Multiple Edmonton and Calgary Hudsons locations have been recognized by Best Bar None as winners and runners up in the past, and every eligible Hudsons is Best Bar None accredited.
Best Bar None is an accreditation and awards program promoting the responsible management and operation of liquor-licensed premises. The program aims to reduce alcohol-related harms by raising the standards of licensed premises and building positive relationships among operators of licensed premises, industry partners, law enforcement and concerned community groups.
Each year, establishments in Edmonton and Calgary that meet the rigorous safety criteria are Best Bar None accredited, with the top performer in each of five categories (large pub, pub, bar/lounge, hotel/restaurant lounge, club) crowned the Best Bar None award winner.
